TRANS AM TAPS K1 RACEGEAR AS OFFICIAL SAFETY GEAR SUPPLIER
K1 launches comprehensive program for Trans Am Officials and Participants
CARLSBAD, CA. February 1, 2017 – The Trans Am Race Company (TARC) has announced that K1 RaceGear will serve as the Official Safety Gear Supplier of the Trans Am Series, presented by Pirelli, in its upcoming 2017 season.

In partnering with Trans Am Series, we look to offer full-service safety solutions to race competitors, track officials and safety workers with our high-quality products.”
The program will see all Series Officials sporting new K1-produced uniform shirt and a contingency program instituted for participating drivers finishing fourth and up across all Trans Am classes throughout the 2017 season.

In addition, K1 will extend a 20 percent “racer discount” extended to Series Officials and Series Participants for select safety gear and is in the process of establishing a sales presence within the Trans Am paddock.
Trans Am will kick-off its 51st season on March 4-5 at Sebring International Raceway. With the addition of the Trans Am West Coast Championship, Trans Am will host 17 individual events across the continental United States.
