K1 SPEED TO EXPAND INTO CANADA
IRVINE, CA – With a successful franchise in Mexico, K1 Speed is set to expand north to Canada. Known for hockey, production of maple syrup and having more lakes than any other country, Canada will be the new home of K1 Speed.
The heartbeat of Canadian urban life, Toronto, will be the first location to open in Canada. Toronto’s most famous landmark is the CN Tower which is one of the tallest structures in the world. The 6ix is a world class city with new and exciting things to do. Soon, our neighbors to the north, will experience the thrill of all-electric indoor kart racing. Not only will they feel the rush of reaching speeds up to 45mph, they will have the full experience from top to bottom K1 Speed racers are accustomed to. Toronto is set to open later this year. Another major city, Montreal, is already in the planning phase for the next franchise location.
As with every K1 Speed facility, guests will enjoy a safe and modern atmosphere. Highly advanced, energy-absorbing barriers line the track to protect racers in the event of collisions, fully electric karts can be remotely disabled to bring racers to a complete stop, and full-face helmets and instruction are provided to every driver. All that’s required to race is closed-toe shoes. Racers must also meet some basic safety pre-requisites. K1 Speed prides itself on making its racing accessible and available to all, and both children and adults are invited to participate.
