The Wait Is Over

After eight years in the making, we are beyond excited to tell you that K1 Circuit is NOW OPEN in Winchester, California!

K1 Circuit takes the karting you know and love at K1 Speed to the next level! From their professional outdoor track with elevation changes and banking to their electric pro-kart that can reach speeds in excess of 80 miles per hour, K1 Circuit is the place to go when you’re ready for the next step in your karting journey. Read on to learn more!

A Proper Grand Prix-Style Road Course

The 1.1-mile, configurable track at K1 Circuit isn’t like most outdoor karting places. While the usual outdoor karting tracks are literally parking lots or flat and featureless field tracks, K1 Circuit is just like a smaller-scale grand prix road course. It’s got 40 feet of elevation change, a thrilling 11% banked corner, sweeping downhill esses, and it’s paved with methods identical to the greatest racetracks. Not to mention, the kerbing, safety runoffs, fencing, etc. is all built to meet the strict CIK-FIA standards for international karting events. And with its trackside lighting, get ready for some awesome night races.

As a result, the select few people who have driven this track often exclaim that it’s nothing like they’ve ever experienced before. This truly is the next chapter of outdoor kart racing.

The First Outdoor Electric Pro-Kart Rental Program in the U.S.

When we opened the doors to their first center over 20 years ago, we pioneered the indoor electric karting experience in the United States. And now, K1 Circuit is doing the same for the outdoor electric karting scene.

K1 Circuit is home to the first Arrive & Drive rental program in the country to offer electric pro-karts. Sure, other places use electric karts for their outdoor track, but K1 Circuit’s OTL E Pro Karts from Italy are purpose-built for competition, not amusement. In fact, these karts can reach speeds of over 80 miles per hour when unrestricted!

Drivers must be at least 60” tall and 13 years of age to drive these high performance karts.

Kart Owners Welcome

K1 Circuit isn’t just for rental karts, either. If you’re an owner of your own kart, you can enjoy our open practice sessions. Open practice for kart owners is available daily, pending special events, from 9am to 5pm.

World-Class Amenities

The track and karts aren’t the only things you’ll love at K1 Circuit! This new venue also provides top-tier amenities, including premium garages with electricity and climate control, secure kart storage, and a private event space for corporate or group functions.

We’re currently constructing a 14,000-square-foot building that will feature a pro shop, changing rooms, showers, meeting rooms, a restaurant and bar, and a mezzanine with stunning views of the track. This amazing building should be open before the end of the year.

Plan Your Visit!

K1 Circuit is now open daily, pending weather or special events.

Check K1 Circuit’s website now for important information and to check availability ahead of your visit.

I try to call the phone number listed and all I get is a busy sound . I want to know when the track is open for bringing my kart for practice, I have a ka100 powered kart , I have ran some Skusa events in the past, and is the 1.1 mile configuration going to be open?

    • Staff Writer

Hello, David! Apologies for the phone – we’re trying to get that sorted out ASAP. The track is currently running open practice for kart owners from 9am to 5pm daily on the Pro Track layout (the full circuit). Looking forward to seeing you out there!

We here in So-Cal are lucky to have so many great kart tracks! Are there any future plans to support mini-moto or supermoto bikes?

    • Staff Writer

Hi, Dan! Thanks for the support! We don’t have any future plans to support mini-moto or supermoto, unfortunately.

Will the karts be any different for the 2025 World Championship then they were from the 2024 World Championship as the track is now open to the public?

    • Staff Writer

Hello, George! We’ll use the same karts currently being used: the OTL E Pro Karts.
