K1 Speed is known worldwide for its upscale go kart racing experience. Our go karts are 100% electric, so you won’t breathe in exhaust while racing nor reek of gas while at your event.

And wait until you try our Italian karts. These aren’t like those huge, slow, heavy and dirty “go karts” used at family fun centers and mini golf joints. Our karts are small, light, nimble and the fastest in the industry – approaching speeds of up to 45mph in a matter of seconds. It’s a full-on adrenaline rush that’s sure to produce nothing but smiles and laughter from all of your racers.

Our mobile tracks are outlined with the safest temporary barriers in existence, the TecPro barriers. TecPro has been around for decades and is trusted not only for karting tracks, but for professional motor racing. In fact, TecPro’s larger barriers can be found at many professional temporary tracks, including Monaco and the latest Formula 1 race in Miami.

Your pop-up track will be operated by professionals from a local K1 Speed facility. Our staff are well experienced when it comes to managing go kart races and will ensure your event runs with maximum efficiency and professionalism.

Our very first mobile outdoor kart track was built for Formula E’s first race weekend in Long Beach. At one point during the weekend, half of the Formula E driver and media enjoyed a race on our track (see video on the left).

For the next five consecutive years, K1 Speed provided an outdoor go kart track at the iconic Long Beach Grand Prix, part of the IndyCar and IMSA calendar. Located on the top of a parking garage near the Long Beach Convention Center, the track delighted hundreds of race fans every race weekend.

K1 Speed worked with Tag Heuer to create a unique pop-up go kart track in Miami’s Jungle Plaza during the week of the city’s inaugural Formula 1 race in 2022. The week-long event showcased Tag Heuer’s product line as well as their partnership with the Red Bull Racing F1 team, culminating with drivers Max Verstappen and Sergio “Checo” Perez racing the track.

Union Market District is one of Washington D.C.’s fastest growing neighborhoods, and it’s Market is a sprawling 20,000-sq.ft. space that’s home to dozens of retail stores, restaurants and services. Their “Race the District” weekend event included many motorsports-themed activities including our go-kart racing experience! Tickets were sold for go-kart racing online ahead of the event, and it wasn’t long before all time spots were sold out for the weekend. We also custom-wrapped the go-karts for sponsors of the event and the news coverage surrounding the whole experience was plentiful, including an on-site news broadcast that included reporters getting behind the wheel.
