Drift Night presented by Falken Tire at Irvine!

It’s time to channel your inner DK (Donkey Kong? No, Drift King) because things are about to get sideways at K1 Speed:  we’re excited to announce Drift Night presented by Falken Tire at K1 Speed Irvine on Wednesday, May 30 from 6pm to 10pm on Track 2!

 

We’ll be outfitting a whole row of our Storm karts  with drift slicks that’ll convert it into a drifting go-kart and send those rear wheels slipping and sliding all over the place. You’re going to love living out your Tokyo Drift fantasies when you wrestle the wheel and feather the throttle all while throwing your kart sideways into a turn.

 

It’s even more fun with a group of friends: try pulling off some slick synchronized drift moves as a team! For an extra challenge, attempt to control the slippery drift karts and compete for fast lap times. At the end of the day, you’re going to have a ton of fun and share a lot of laughs during this all-new experience.

 

No prior drifting experience is required. As Han Lue says, “There’s no ‘wax on wax off’ with drifting. You learn by doing it. The first drifters invented drifting out here in the mountains by feeling it. So feel it.” Only the standard Storm kart requirements exist: drivers must be at least 58” (4 feet, 10 inches) tall and weigh no more than 300 lbs.

 

Drift karting won’t cost any more than our typical pricing, either! Plus, Falken Tire will be there handing out some killer swag to take home! Who can say no to free stuff??

 

Irvine is the only location hosting Drift Night, so if you live in Southern California you have got to stop on Wednesday evening in Irvine – it’ll be worth the drive, believe us!
