New! XP Live Contest:
Starting today June 17th, 2008, K1 Speed will begin the next XP
Score Live Contest. This time around K1 Speed will be giving out
cold hard cash. The first Racer to reach 800 XP points will receive
$300 cash. So get to your nearest K1 Speed facility and start racking
up the points for your chance to win!

Paul Ciralli wins the First XP Live Challenge:
Following a streak of first place victories, Paul Ciralli, A K1
Speed Ontario Regular, has racked up enough points to break the
300 XP Live mark. Along with bragging rights as the current XP Champion,
Paul will be awarded a gas card worth $300. Not too far behind were
Emilio Garcia III, Michael Bentley, Derek Hacker and John Perry.
The next XP Live Challenge will be announced soon.

K1 Speed Introduces XP Score Live!
K1 Speed is proud to introduce a brand-new scoring system for our
racers. XP Score! While ProScore can go up or down based on how
well you do against racers that are better or worse than you, XP
Score can only go up based on how much racing you do and how well
you do in those races. Every new racer starts at 100 points and
only goes up from there. You get 1 point simply for racing in a
race and 2 more points for each racer that you beat in that race.
The more people you beat, the faster your score goes up! ProScore
and XP Score are both calculated for every race so drivers can still
focus on ProScore if they prefer but XP Score will be the basis
for a lot of new surprises that are forthcoming from K1 Speed!
To kick off this new Live XP Scoring we are going to have a competition.
The first driver to reach 300 XP points will win a Gas Card worth
$300 The competition will start June 9th, 2008 and end when the
first driver reaches 300 XP Live points. Points will add up very
fast in the new format, so race early, race often and win! Check
current XP Live Point Leaders.

Defending Champion Toby Rodriguez Wins Again!
Toby Rodriquez, the winner of the last two Challenge GP's, does
it again. Narrowly beating out Ryan Horn by 16 pts. Toby has a history
of dominating the drivers at the K1 Speed Track in Irvine. His commitment
and consistency at the Challenge GP has paid off. Once again Toby
has been awarded the 1st place prize package which consisted of
the Super Track Challenge GP Trophy, $100 gift card to Houston's
Steak House, 3 free races, a K1 Speed T-shirt and Free Entry to
Anaheim
Survival race. Rounding out the top five for the Season were:
Ryan Horn in 2nd place, Robert Dlugos in 3rd place, Paul Ciralli
in 4th place and Alex Jun in 5th place. See complete

Top End Motor Sports Meets at K1 Speed Ontario!
TopEnd Motorsports is a car club unlike any other. Aside from almost
weekly Test and Tune events, what makes TEMS different is they do
not discriminate by the type of car you have. If you are a car enthusiast
that drives American Muscle, Import Tuners or anything in-between
you are welcome to join and participate in club outings. Get more

SoCal Summer Fun and Activities
With the gas
prices still on the rise, many couples and families are choosing
to stay local for their weekend activities, family vacations and
good times. Fortunately we know this and are working hard to bring
the excitement of Indoor Racing closer to your neighborhood. Currently
K1 Speed has many tracks spread throughout the Southern
California area with more locations to come in the next few
months, including Torrance, which is opening this Summer. So whether
you are traveling from San Diego, Carlsbad, Hollywood, Anaheim,
Ontario / Inland Empire, Irvine, Palm Springs or any other So Cal
city, your trip will not be far, and the gas can stay in your car.

Hurricane Chris Dooley Brings some "A Bay Bay" Cheer
to K1 Speed Anaheim:
Last Friday Night Chris Dooley, Better known as Hurricane
Chris, Stopped by K1 Speed Anaheim to run a couple of races.
He posted respectable times in his two races. Chris finished 5th
out of 12 drivers in his first race and improved to 3rd out of 12
drivers in his 2nd race, posting a lap time of 35.66. He was also
generous enough to take some extra time to sign autographs and take
pictures with some of the K1 Speed guests. Chris is currently promoting
his new album 51/50

Michelle Hummel uses K1 Speed to compete in the Mahalo Idol:
Mahalo Daily is looking for the next host for its show by having
up and coming personalities compete for this great opportunity on
the Mahalo Idol. Michelle Hummel chose K1 Speed as her topic and
we are glad she did. Michelle did a fantastic job on her
video in addition to laying down some great lap times; she is

K1 Speed hosts Bravo’s Millionaire Matchmaker:
K1 Speed was the host for Bravo’s
Millionaire Matchmaker episode 5. During their lengthy 8-hour
first date they ended up at K1 Speed for some fun, competition and
a friendly wager. K1 speed is a great way to break the ice, energize
your date and enjoy a fun activity that is sure to give you lots
to talk about after the race. Watch the video
of their date or check out some of the pictures
from episode 5. The entire episode will re-air on FRI 5/09 at
3:00pm on BRAVO and MON 5/12 at 1:00pm on BRAVO.

Pignataro Volkswagen and David Jurca host an event at K1 Speed
Redmond:
On July 2nd Pignataro VW partners up with David
Jurca, the VW Jetta TDI Cup points leader, to host a fun and
exciting party for Pignataro's new and current customers. Guests
attending the party will have a chance to win prizes including an
all expense paid trip to Portland Oregon to watch David Jurca compete
in the VW

Uli Perez Wins Hard Charger Award in K1 Speed/Super Truck Debut
at Irwindale.
K1 speeds super truck #16, driven by our own Uli Perez, takes home
the Hard Charger award on Saturday April 26th at Toyota
Speedway at Irwindale. Uli had a tough qualifying run placing
last but dialed in his truck just before the race began. Feeling
much better in the race than the qualifier, Uli drove fast and clean
avoiding accidents and passing several racers along the way, moving
from 27th to13th place. This is the first Race Uli has ran in two
years and I must say he did a very good job. Sponsored by K1 Speed

Truck Inc, The #16 truck made its way to the winners circle

K1 SPEED's Boris Said tests the new BMW M3 - 03/25
Boris Said once again gets the opportunity to test drive the crème
of the crop in high performance cars. This time the new BMW
M3 was put to the test. In addition to Boris, fellow Racers
Tommy Kendall, John Andretti and Graham Rahal joined in the fun
as they competed in SPEED Channel's "The Ultimate Driver Challenge"
which aired on March 25th.

K1 SPEED partner Boris Said signs new deal - 03/20
Team Rensi Motorsports announced the signing of Said to drive the
No. 25 No Fear Energy / Smithfield Foods Ford for the two Nationwide
Series international races—in Mexico City and Montreal, Team
Rensi PR reports. Said has inked a deal to race two of the road
course races in the Nationwide Series for Team Rensi. As always,
Said is a dangerous driver on the road circuits and gives Rensi
a good shot at an upset victory.

K1 Speed Super Truck.
K1 Speed will be sponsoring the #16 super truck, driven by our own
Uli Perez for the 2008 season at Irwindale speedway. The K1 Speed
truck will be running a few races throughout the year and will be
displayed at our K1 Speed locations during off race weekends. The
#16 super truck will make its first race debut on Saturday April
26th at Irwindale Speedway.

K1 Speed's newest indoor soccer team, the "K1 Kickers",
will start their first season together at the Orange Indoor Sports
Arena this month. The team is made up of Irvine and Anaheim K1 employees
and a few family members. The team has some experienced and inexperienced
players but they should have a great season. The K1 Kickers were
founded to bring team work and unity from employees working in different
K1 locations. We wish them the best of luck this season.

K1 Speed Carlsbad - 02/28
Rock 105.3 hosts the morning Mikey show at K1 Speed, Carlsbad. Fans
from all over San Diego joined us bright early to watch the Mikey
show hosts battle it out on the track for fastest times. Mikey stated
that "this is the most fun he has ever had doing a challenge
morning show". Come join us for the Mikey show P1 Party on
March 21, from 5-7 PM.

Survivor Race - Anaheim - 02/28
K1 Speed's first Survivor Race was held at the Anaheim facility
on Feb 28th, it was a great turn-out with over 50 racers attending
this first for K1. The CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT was: Groups of 12 racers,
each group
races a Grand Prix format race: 12 Lap Practise, 14 Lap Qualifying,
16 Lap Race. Top 5 of each group advance to Final. Top 12 racers
advance to the Championship Final. Congratulations to Toby Rodriguez,
the over all Champion winning the fantastic drifting helmet shown.
